A Step-by-Step Guide on Configuring Outlook with cPanel Email 

In today's digital age, efficient email communication is paramount for businesses and individuals alike. If you're using cPanel as your hosting control panel and want to configure Outlook for your email, this step-by-step guide will walk you through the process seamlessly. 

Step 1: Open Outlook 

Begin by opening Microsoft Outlook on your computer. If you don't have Outlook installed, you can download and install it from the official Microsoft website. 

Step 2: Choose "File" and Add Account 

  • In Outlook, click on "File" in the top-left corner. 

  • Select "Add Account" to open the Add Account Wizard. 

Step 3: Choose "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" 

  • Select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click "Next." 

Step 4: Choose "Internet Email" 

  • Choose "Internet Email" and click "Next." 

Step 5: Fill in Your User, Server, and Logon Information 

  • Your Name: Enter your name. 

  • Email Address: Your full email address. 

  • Account Type: Choose "IMAP" for a more synchronized experience across devices. 

  • Incoming Mail Server: Your cPanel server's incoming mail server (commonly in the format: mail.yourdomain.com). 

  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): Your cPanel server's outgoing mail server (commonly in the format: mail.yourdomain.com). 

  • Username: Your full email address. 

  • Password: Your email account password. 

Step 6: More Settings 

  • Click on "More Settings" to configure additional settings. 

  • In the "General" tab, you can enter a recognizable name in the "Mail Account" field. 

  • Go to the "Outgoing Server" tab and check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." 

  • Switch to the "Advanced" tab and set the following: 

  • Incoming server (IMAP): 993 (SSL) 

  • Outgoing server (SMTP): 465 (SSL) 

Step 7: Test Account Settings 

  • Click "Next" to let Outlook test your account settings. 

  • If everything is configured correctly, you'll see a congratulatory message. If not, retrace your steps and make sure your settings are accurate. 

 

Step 8: Finish Setup 

  • Click "Finish" to complete the setup. 

  • Outlook will prompt you to restart the application. Click "Yes." 

Congratulations! You've successfully configured Outlook with your cPanel email. Your emails should now be synchronized between cPanel and Outlook, providing you with a seamless and efficient email experience.
